Center for International Higher Education offers Free Subscription to Quarterly Newsletter

If you aren't yet receiving International Higher Education, the flagship publication of the Center for International Higher Education, it's worth receiving! The CIHE promotes the belief that an international perspective will foster enlightened policies and practices. To this end, the Center publishes International Higher Education, a quarterly publication featuring analysis and reports about key issues in higher education worldwide.

The current issue is available on CIHE's website. You can subscribe (for free!) to either a paper or electronic copy of the newsletter by visiting IHE's subscription page.

Register Now for Regional Meeting!

The Distance Education and Training Council is happy to announce registration now is open for the regional meeting in Irvine, California for DETC institutions and applicants!

The meeting, hosted by California Southern University, will take place Tuesday, Sept 21. The Meeting will feature updates on the Washington scene and on DETC activities from Michael Lambert as well as an update from a representative of California's Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Also, each attendee will have the opportunity to give a brief report on their institution. The Regional Meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m., and will conclude with lunch.

Conveniently located along the 5 freeway at Jeffrey road in the center of the Jeffrey Office Campus, California Southern University is within minutes of downtown Irvine and Newport Beach. The local domestic airport is John Wayne (SNA) Airport, which sits on the border of Newport and Santa Ana and is a short 10 minute drive from the campus. The university is approximately 45 minutes away from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The cost of the the Regional Meeting is just $65/person! Please note, the registration deadline for the Regional Meeting is Monday, September 13th, 2010. No Post-Deadline or On-Site Registrations Will Be Allowed. Visit the online registration web site now!
