E-textbooks See More Widespread Use at For-Profit Institutions
E-textbooks might be the most-talked about and least-used learning tools in traditional higher education. Campus libraries and e-reader manufacturers are betting on electronic learning materials to overtake traditional textbooks in the foreseeable future, but very few students at traditional institutions are currently using e-textbooks, according to recent surveys.

Columbia Southern University Acquires Waldorf College
Reached on the phone, Richard A. Hanson isn't quite sure he's ready to give an interview about the recent sale of Waldorf College. What persuaded Hanson to talk about what's happening at Waldorf is the question of whether he thinks other colleges will soon be facing the same choice.

Filmed in conjunction with California Southern University in Irvine, CA, the 10-minute tour features DETC Executive Director Mike Lambert as your personal guide to the office. Hear him recount a bit of DETC’s history, see some fascinating distance education artifacts and learn a bit about the DETC Executive Directors from 1926 to present.
