Two new higher education resources have been published—the American Council on Education has released the 2009-10 Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education directory, and the Department of Education has published its 2010 Condition of Education.
ACE's Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education (AIPE) is the only official guide to institutions of higher learning that are accredited by regional, faith-based, and private career accrediting organizations.
In addition to the printed directory, ACE offersAIPE Online, where you can search for accredited institutions by name, state, or country. And because it uses their continually updated database of colleges, universities, and postsecondary institutions, it always contains the latest accreditation decisions, closures, names changes and mergers. Go to www.aipeonline.acenet.edu for more details and to take a virtual tour.
The Education Department has published Condition of Education 2010, its annual compendium featuring (just about) everything you'd want to know regarding the state of American education.
The publication contains a wealth of previously published data about undergraduate, graduate, and adult education. Take a look by visiting their website!
