DETC is proud to announce the publication of a revised, updated version of its Title IV Financial Aid training program, Federal Student Aid Training Program: Realities and Regulations of the Title IV Aid Programs.
The training course, originally introduced in 2005, has been rewritten and updated to reflect the new complexities of participating in Federal financial aid programs. This newly updated version, again written by long-time financial aid experts Dr. Phil and Nancy Rokicki, is designed not only to prepare DETC institutions for the responsibilities they assume when participating in federal Title IV programs, but also to discuss the liability that goes along with participation, and to provide best practices for participating in Federal Financial Aid Programs.
The course will cover topics including Understanding the DETC Accrediting Commission Standards related to participation in Title IV programs, special requirements (staffing, training and monitoring of faculty, etc.) for institutions participating in Title IV, and how to prepare for program review and audits of the Federal Student Aid Programs. This course is a must for any institution considering entering the complex world of Federal Financial Aid, and an excellent refresher for institutions already participating.
To enroll in the Federal Student Aid Training Program, or purchase a copy of the textbook, please complete and return the Course Enrollment Form. A copy of the form also can be downloaded from the Title IV page in the Member Services section of the DETC website.
