DETC Executive Director Michael P. Lambert was honored recently by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), receiving a special award commemorating his distinguished 40-year career in higher education.
The plaque he received cites Mr. Lambert as "A great friend, colleague and an admired leader," and also states that "the accreditation world will not be the same without you."
CHEA President Dr. Judith Eaton made the presentation before accrediting association and higher education leaders at the 2013 CHEA Annual Conference in Washington, DC, on January 28. Mr. Lambert will be retiring from the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) effective March 31, 2013.
