DETC Now Accepting Proposals for 87th Annual Conference
The Call for Proposals for DETC's 87th Annual Conference is now open! If you are interested in presenting at the Conference, taking place April 14-16, 2013 at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, you can now submit your proposal online. Proposals must be submitted by Friday, December 28, 2012 to be considered for the 87th Annual Conference. Speakers selected for the Annual Conference Program will be notified in early January, 2013.

Federal Panel Recommends
Unconditional Recognition
of DETC
The Distance Education and Training Council is proud to announce that its compliance report for the continuation of Federal Recognition of the DETC Accrediting Commission received a unanimous consent vote by the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) at its December 11th meeting in Washington.

New Resources on Promoting Accreditation
Added to DETC Website
During the 2012 Fall Workshop, the DETC Business Standards Subcommittee formed a Task Force on Promoting Accreditation, tasked on developing ways for DETC institutions to promote their accreditation. The task force has completed its research and the results—a collection of valuable resources, tips and ideas DETC accreditited institutions can use to promote the value of accreditation.
