DETC Title IV Financial Aid Seminar

The Distance Education and Training Council will be hosting a Title IV Financial Aid Seminar in conjunction with the Annual Conference. The Seminar, which will take place Wednesday, April 17th, will feature a presentation by Dr. Sharon Bob, Special Consultant to DETC. Dr. Bob will cover updates to requirements with which institutions must comply when they become eligible to participate in the Title IV programs, review the application process, and discuss how best to prepare your institution for a Financial Aid Audit.

The Title IV Seminar will begin with registration and a continental breakfast from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17th. The seminar will run from 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m., with a working lunch from Noon—1:00 p.m.

  • Institutional Eligibility
  • Consumer Information
  • Student Eligibility
  • Cost of Attendance and Determining Need
  • FAFSA Processing and Verification

Lunch:

After the morning session, enjoy an informal, buffet-style lunch while reviewing the morning’s session.

Financial Aid Workshop, continued:

  • Cash Management and Disbursement Requirements
  • Return of Title IV Aid
  • Applying to Participate in the Federal Student Aid Programs

This richly informative Workshop is a must attend for any institution currently working with Title IV funds, as well as institutions considering becoming Eligible to participate in Title IV Federal Aid!
