DETC 87th Annual Conference
April 14-16, 2013

The Distance Education and Training Council will be holding its 87th Annual Conference April 14-16, 2013 in San Francisco, at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel. We understand you will be participating in the Outstanding Graduate and Famous Alumni panel session and accepting your award at the Awards Luncheon. The session, DETC Outstanding Graduates and Famous Alumni Tell Their Story, is scheduled for 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16th. The Awards Luncheon will immediately follow.
Panel Presentation
After a representative from the institution introduces you, you should be prepared to give a 4-5 minute presentation about your educational experience with your institution. Please feel free to include a brief summary of the write-up in the DETC Outstanding Graduate booklet. If you’d like to accept your award at the Luncheon, but not participate in the panel, please contact DETC’s Information and Accounts Specialist, Patrice Wall, via e-mail or via phone at (202) 234-5100 ext. 100.
Annual Conference Registration
As an outstanding graduate/famous alumni, you are entitled to one complimentary Conference registration (including all meetings and social functions). The rate for additional Conference attendees (spouse, family members, etc.) is $300/person. If you would like to attend only the Panel Session and Awards Luncheon, there is no cost for your meal (additional registrations to the Panel/Luncheon are $50/person). You can register for your complimentary Conference registration (and purchase additional attendee/luncheon attendees) using the online registration system.
Select ‘Outstanding Graduate’ as your attendee type, and complete the registration information on the following pages. You must complete your conference registration by Wednesday, March 27, 2013 to receive the complimentary Conference registration.
Reserve a Hotel Room
You are responsible for your own hotel accommodations for the Conference. Rooms at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel are available to DETC Annual Conference attendees at the special rate of $239/night plus tax.

Before completing the online registration or reserving a hotel room, you should check with your institution to see if they will cover any or all of these costs.
