The Distance Education and Training Council has more than 100 member institutions that together enroll approximately 4 million students. The DETC's 86th Annual Conference, April 15-17, 2012 at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa in Maui, Hawaii, offers an excellent opportunity to interact with executives from many of the most successful distance education institution executives in the nation. More information on what's new at this year's meeting, registration information, and details on setup, takedown, and shipping are available below.

What's New?

Exhibitors at the Annual Conference will have abundant opportunities to connect with DETC institutions. Conference exhibits will be set up in the same room as meeting registration. In addition, Continental Breakfast each morning and all meeting break food will be served in the exhibit space. Depending on available space, each conference Exhibitor will have either one 10'x10' booth, pre-set with a table and two chairs, or else one 8' table with two chairs. Please Note: Information regarding avaiable exhibit space, and the decision regarding booths vs. tables shouldbe available shortly!

Exhibitors also will have access to a list of attendees prior to the Conference. The initial list will be provided one month before the Conference, and an updated list will be provided two weeks prior to the Conference. A final registration list will be available after the Conference.

Click here to register for the DETC's 86th Annual Conference. Exhibitor registration costs $2,200, which includes the exhibit space and one attendee’s registration. If your organization is sending more than one person, additional representatives can register for $300/person (select the “Additional Exhibitor” option during the online registration process).

Please note, attendees must register separately for Tuesday evening’s Closing Reception and Dinner. Registrations are $100 and can be purchased during the online registration process. Anyone planning to attend Tuesday’s Reception and Dinner must purchase the registration online. The Workshop registration deadline is Wednesday, March 28.

Rooms at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa are available to DETC Annual Conference attendees at the special rate of $280/night for resort view rooms, and $320/night for ocean views, plus tax and resort fee.

Please note, rooms must be reserved by MARCH 11, 2012 to receive the group rate.

Setup, Takedown and Shipping

Exhibit setup will run from 12:30-4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15th (please note, Conference registration will be taking place in the exhibit are from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday). Exhibit takedown can begin after lunch on Tuesday, April 17th and all exhibits must be removed by 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

If you plan on shipping any materials to the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, please ensure they arrive no earlier than Thursday, April 12th, three days prior to the Conference. Each package should be clearly marked with the name and date of the Conference. All packages should be shipped to the address below, and be clearly labeled with the following information:
