DETC 84th Annual Conference

The Distance Education and Training Council has more than 100 member institutions that together enroll approximately 4 million students. The DETC's 84th Annual Conference, April 11-13, 2010 at the L'Auberge Del Mar in Del Mar, CA, offers an excellent opportunity to interact with executives from many of the most successful distance education institution executives in the nation.

 

What's New?

Exhibitors at the Annual Conference will have abundant opportunities to connect with DETC institutions. Conference exhibits will be set up in the same room as meeting registration. In addition, Continental Breakfast each morning and all meeting break food will be served in the exhibit space. Each conference Exhibitor will have one 8' table (the size of the available meeting space prohibits the use of 10x10 booths), and tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Exhibitors also will have access to a list of attendees prior to the Workshop. The intitial list will be provided six weeks before the Workshop, and an updated list will be provided three weeks prior to the Workshop. A final registration list will be available after the Conference.

Click here to register for the DETC Fall Workshop. Exhibitor registration costs $2,000, which includes the exhibit space and one attendee’s registration. If your organization is sending more than one person, additional representatives can register for $250/person (select the “Additional Exhibitor” option during the online registration process).

Please note, attendees must register separately for Tuesday evening’s Closing Reception and Dinner and the Gemological Institute of America. Registrations are $100 and can be purchased during the online registration process. Anyone planning to attend Tuesday’s Reception and Dinner must purchase the registration online. The Workshop registration deadline is Wednesday, March 31.

Rooms at the L'Auberge Del Mar are available to Workshop attendees at the special rate of $279/night, plus tax and resort fee. You can reserve a room online by  clicking here. Be sure to use the group code DETC to receive the group rate. You must make your hotel reservation by March 11, 2010 to take advantage of the the group rate for Workshop attendees.

 

Setup, Takedown and Shipping

Exhibit setup will run from 12:30-4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11th (please note, Conference registration will be taking place in the exhibit are from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday). Exhibit takedown can begin after lunch on Tuesday, April 13 and all exhibits must be removed by 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

If you plan on shipping any materials to the L'Auberge Del Mar, please ensure they arrive no earlier than Thursday, April 8th, three days prior to the Conference. Each package should be clearly marked with the name and date of the Conference. All packages should be shipped to the address below, and contain the following information:

L'Auberge Del Mar is not responsible for items remaining in the Resort upon the conclusion of the DETC Annual Conference, items should be removed at the conclusion of the function.
